Barbara Lynn Greer Melson

Barbara Lynn Greer Melson was born on March 30, 1971 in Cushing, Oklahoma and departed this world on August 4, 2019 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 48. Barbara was the daughter of David Greer and Mary Alexander Egan. She was a CNA-CMA for home health care. She loved to take care of elderly people and spend time playing games with them. She enjoyed making Christmas ornaments, and passing time on Snapchat. She was an avid dog lover. Barbara was a Stroud High School graduate from the Class of 1989. She was proceeded in death by her father David Greer in 1984, Papa George in 1997, in addition to her maternal and paternal grandparents. Survivors include one daughter Erica Watson of Tulsa, two sons, Ryan and Kendall Watson of Texas and Alex Watson of Stroud, Mother Mary Egan of Stroud, two brothers David and Anne Greer of Taylor, Michigan and Chuck and Bambi Greer of Skiatook, and, one sister Kim and Daniel Johnson of Cushing, and significant other Rick Brasel of Oklahoma City, as well as countless family members and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Stroud, Oklahoma with Pastor James Bond officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Services in Stroud, Oklahoma.
