A.T. Brixey Jr., long-time Chandler, OK, resident was born on March 22, 1933, in Chandler, OK, and departed this life Thursday, July 26, 2012, in Tulsa, OK, at the age of 79 years. A.T. was the son of Abe and Zola (Thomas) Brixey. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. A.T. married Janice Marie Howell, on October 9, 1959, in Chandler. He worked for the Oklahoma City Police Department for many years, after his retirement, he served as the Chief of Police in Chandler, he then spent several years as the Lincoln County Sheriff. A.T. was a Perpetual Member of Chandler Masonic Lodge #58. He attended Chandler Church of the First Born and First Assembly of God Church in Tryon. His parents, and grandparents preceded A.T. in death. Survivors include, his wife of 52 years, Janice of the home, one son and daughter-in-law, David and Jennie Brixey of Edmond, OK, one daughter and son-in-law, Jaynee and Mike Schones of Edmond, OK, one sister, Patsy Greenfield of Riverside, CA, one grandchild, two great- grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, July 30, 2012, at the Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler, with Rev. Lorn Starling and Rev. Theldon Fowler officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, OK. The family will be receiving friends and other family members on Monday, July 30, 2012, from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the Funeral Home in Chandler.
