Arlis Cleo Upperman

Arlis Cleo Upperman left this world for his Heavenly home on Sunday, January 16, 2011, at the age of 92. Arlis, the son of Willis Russel and Melvina Elizaeth (Gentry) Upperman, was a resident of Choctaw. He married Myrtle Mae Nelon on December 13, 1937. She preceded him in death on October 15, 1999. Arlis retired from the Midwest City Street Department in 1980 where he was a heavy equipment operator. His parents, one sister, one brother, and a great-grandson also preceded Arlis in death. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Anna Mae and Charles Brice of Choctaw; grandsons, Michael Brice and his wife Paula of Sanger, TX, Mark Brice of Choctaw; 4 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; dear friend, Betty Thurman of Choctaw. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at 1:00 PM, at the First Baptist Church in Choctaw with Rev. Ray Sikes officiating. Interment will follow at the Paden Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
