Anthony "Tony" Simms Davis

June 26, 1959 — June 13, 2006

Anthony ?Tony? Simms Davis was born on June 26, 1959, in Stroud, Oklahoma, to Pat Young Riley and Lesley Davis. He graduated from Stroud High School in 1977, shortly after he moved to Oklahoma City and found employment. Tony acknowledged and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior. Tony was very active in the community of Stroud and Tulsa where he resided. Tony was well known for his excellent grilling skills. He, along with his friends, Donnie, Leroy, and Darrell organized a group called ?A Few Good Friends.? Each year they would host a cookout for family, co-workers, and friends. On May 6, 2006, ?A Few Good Friends? celebrated their seventh annual cookout. Tony was a peacemaker and always first to offer a helping hand to others. He was a strict believer in respecting your elders, always using ?yes Ma?am and Yes Sir.? Tony was a kind heart and had an awesome personality. During his weakest moments in ICU, he was making the nurses and assistants laugh and smile. He never complained, or once said ?why me?? He never gave up on his faith or the love of his family and friends. If you were Tony?s friends, you were his family. He will always be remembered as a loving son, father, brother, uncle, and friend. Tony was a valued employee of Love Box Company, Inc., of Tulsa, Oklahoma until his illness. Tony departed his life on June 13, 2006, at St. Francis Hospital. Remembering him with love are three children, son Anthony Simms ?T.J.? Davis, Jr. of Tulsa, daughters, Alisha Coleman of Galesburg, IL, and Crystal Davis of Dallas, TX, step-daughters, Leanna Scott and Riquitta Bennett and his wife Kim Scott Davis, all of Tulsa, a devoted mother, Pat Riley-Martin of Stroud, loving father, Lesley Davis of Oklahoma City, three brothers, Bobby Riley and sister-in-law Laura Riley of Oklahoma City, Kevin Davis and Delane Davis, both of Oklahoma City, six sisters, Lynn Carter of Stroud, Wilma Riley-Jacobs of Edmond, Teresa Riley-Echols of Casa Grand, AZ, Karla Marshall of Oklahoma City, Bonnie Riley-Thompson and Jackie Riley, both of Irving, TX, special friends, Donnie, Herman, Leroy, Harold, Darrell, Anthony and Kathy and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
