Annette Sellars

May 19, 1942 — October 12, 2020

Annette (Stepp) Sellars, 78, of Prague, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2020, surrounded by her loving family at her home in Prague. Annette was born on May 19, 1942 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was the daughter of Elmer George and Arlene Alice Stepp. She was raised by a wonder full foster family, Walt and Mickie Smith in Montana, as well as 10 wonderful brothers and sisters. At the age of 16, Annette moved to California, where she made her home for many years. While working in California, Annette met Harold “Dean” Sellars and the two were married. Annette and Harold made California their home for five years before moving their family to Oklahoma. The couple have lived the last 25 years in Oklahoma. Annette was known for her loving personality and desire to care for others. She never met a stranger and could have a conversation with anyone. She was exceptional cook as well, her family loved her cooking, especially her rocky road fudge. If she was not cooking, you would often find Annette taking long walks around her property and taking in the natural beauty of the outdoors. Annette was preceded in death by her biological parents, Elmer and Arlene Stepp; her foster parents, Walt and Mickie Smith and one son, Robert Capetta. She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Harold “Dean” Sellars; two sons, David Bennett and his wife, Gloria, of California and Daniel Bennett and his wife, Wendy, of Prague; one stepson, David Earl Capetta of Colorado; one grandson, Torrey Bennett and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service. An online guestbook is available at www.parksbrothers.net.
