Anna Mae Barrett

Anna Mae Barrett, age 91, of Harrah, OK was born February 22, 1926 in Portales, NM. She was the daughter of Leslie H. and Grace Daniels Houghtling. She went to sleep in Jesus on July 7, 2017, surrounded by family and friends at Wolfe Living Center in Harrah. Anna Mae married Richard Edward Barrett on August 12, 1946 in Clovis, NM, and devoted herself to being a homemaker and a mother. She had an Associate Degree in Education and taught school until her children were born. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Forrest Houghtling, and her husband, Richard E. Barrett. Survivors include Dennis Ray Barrett (son) and his wife Joyce Ann Barrett and Edwin Carl Barrett (son) and his wife Charlene Barrett; Grandchildren: Rita Barrett, Richard Barrett, Bruce Barrett, Brittany Barrett Santos and her husband Javier Santos, Gregory Barrett and his wife Chrissy Barrett, Bryan Barrett, Leslie Barrett Woodard and her husband Eric Woodard; Great-grandchildren: Thomas Schrier, Ricky Schrier, Austin Barrett, Connor Barrett, Javier Santos, Zachary Barrett, Owen Barrett, Willa Woodard. Services will be held at the Summit Ridge Seventh-Day Adventist Church at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 9, 2017, followed by burial in Summit Ridge Cemetery.
