Ann C. Thompson

Long-time Stroud resident, Ann C. Thompson, was born in Hominy, Oklahoma, on January 13, 1935, and departed this life in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on Wednesday, March 29, 2006, at the age of 71 years. Ann, the daughter of Joseph H. and Lena Boyington Comer, was a resident of Stroud most of her life. She married James Robert Jim Bob Thompson in Prague, Oklahoma, on May 1, 1953. He preceded her in death on December 7, 2003. Ann retired from the City of Stroud where she served as the County Clerk and Treasurer for many years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Stroud. Her parents, two brothers, and three sisters preceded Ann in death. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Tom Jacob of Frisco, TX; three sons and daughters-in-law, Bob and Tina Thompson of Prague, Jim and Marsha Thompson of Stroud, Don and Missy Thompson of Greenwood, AR; one brother, Gene Comer of Tulsa; one sister, Bernice Griffith of Hemet, CA; nine grandchildren, Josh & Jaclyn Thompson of Stroud, Robert & Marisa Thompson of Prague, Eric Thompson of Stroud, Andy Riester, Hayley & Elena Thompson of Greenwood, AR, and Allison Jacob of San Antonio, TX.
