Angela (Island) Johnny, 50, a resident of Prague, Oklahoma, passed away on September 27, 2020 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Angela was born on September 21, 1970 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Norman Ray Island and Ellen Rose (Cedartree) Ward. Angela graduated from Ardmore High School in 1988. After high school, she served our country in the United States Navy for 4 years. Angela worked for Tinker Air Force Base after the Navy and worked as a transcriptionist for the Oklahoma Indian Clinic for 15 years. Angela married Michael Johnny and they were married for 15 years. Angela loved to travel and to “hop in the car” and take off to visit different places whether that was by herself or with her kids. More than anything, she was compassionate and loved taking care of others, especially her family and children. Angela was preceded in death by her father, Norman Ray Island; her great-grandmother, Ella Loneman; an uncle, Cornelius Cedartree; and an aunt, Bridget Ellis. Those left to cherish Angela’s memory are a son, Elvis Christopher Johnny and his wife, Lorena; a daughter, Aspen Nicole Johnny; her partner of more than 15 years, Michael Johnny; her mother, Ellen Rose Ward and her husband, Frank; brothers, Norman Island, Jr. and Stoney Island; a sister, Kelly Acosta and her husband, Anthony. As well as a host of other family members and friends.
