Ambrose Willard Engel

Ambrose W. Engel was born on June 27, 1935, near Meeker, Oklahoma and departed this life on Saturday, March 7, 2009, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 73. Ambrose was the son of Oscar John and Anna Laura Lee Engel. He served in the United States Army National Guard then worked at Tinker Air Force Base as a machinest. He was a member of the St. Michael''s Catholic Church in Meeker, Oklahoma and the Knights of Columbus. Ambrose was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers. Survivors include wife Sarah F. Engel of the home. One son & daughter-in-law David & Christie Davis of Edmond, OK. Three GrandchildrenLeigha Davis of Moore, OK., Jackson & Alaina Davis of Edmond, OK., other relatives and many friends. Viewing will be at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Meeker, Oklahoma from 8:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be at St Michael''s Catholic Church in Meeker, Oklahoma on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. with Father Shane Tharp officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Meeker, Oklahoma. A wake will be held at St. Michael''s on Monday, March 9, 2009 at 7:00 P.M. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
