Alvin Jay Hill

Alvin Jay Hill, 66, of Prague, OK, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2005, at Parkland Manor Skilled Nursing Unit following a brief illness. Alvin was born in Prague on August 29, 1938, to George and Mildred Snyder Hill. He received an honorable discharge from the United States Army in November 1961 and retired from Tinker Air Force Base in 1977. Following his retirement, Alvin raised watermelons and cantaloupes on his farm at Garden Grove. Farming was more than a hobby to Alvin. He enjoyed being outdoors and will be missed by his family and friends. His parents preceded Alvin in death. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Juanita Warden Hill; one sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Howard Meinzer of Renton, WA; mother-in-law, Opal Warden of Prague; son, Jackie Mitchell of Prague; daughter, Jan Blankenship of Prague; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and James Craft of Oklahoma City; son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Jo Ellen Mitchell of Shawnee; five grandchildren and their spouses, Shane and Alicia Sala of Manford, Matt and Tara Mitchell of Rockwall, TX, J.C. and Jamie Mitchell of Shawnee, Lyn and Daniel Sims of McAlester, J.C. Craft of Oklahoma City; and 10 great-grandchildren.
