Alvin E. Stinebeck

Alvin E. 'Gene' Stinebeck was born on August 4, 1917, in Roll, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Sunday, May 9, 2004 at his home in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 86. Alvin, the son of Harold and Pearl Parkhurst Stinebeck, married Yolonda M. Fox Smith on December 21, 1974 in El Reno, OK. Alvin served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a purchasing agent with the Oklahoma City School District. After retiring in 1979, Alvin and Yolonda moved to Eureka Springs where they lived until moving to Prague in 2000. His parents; two sons, Larry Eugene Stinebeck and Gary Edward Smith; and one sister, Viola Howenstine, preceded Gene in death. Survivors include his wife, Yolonda of the home; son, Eugene A. Smith of Prague; grandson, Stanley E. Smith and his wife Cynthia of Norman; granddaughters, Tonya Day Clark and her husband Robert of Prague, Becky Jon VanWorth and her husband Billy of Prague; and 10 great-grandchildren, Stefani Korst, Desirae Mize, Bryan Mize, Wanda Clark, Leslie Clark, Elias Medina, Christopher Clark, Nicole Clark, Candie Hale Waters, and Rocky VanWorth.
