Alva E. Wigginton Owens of Harrah, age 80, was born on September 13, 1925 in Wister, OK. Alva was the daughter of Otis Calvin & Gertrude Elizabeth Dedmon Wigginton. She left this life on February 18, 2006, in Harrah, OK. Alva graduated in 1944 from Howe High School in Howe, OK. She married Thomas Monroe Owens on September 13, 1947. She was a secretary for the Harrah Public Schools for 29 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church, Harrah, OK. Alva enjoyed watching her grandkids play ball and perform in plays and dance recitals. She loved reading, going to Branson and her family was very important to her. Alva was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, J. D. Wigginton and one daughter, Linda Kay McKinley. Survivors include 1 son & daughter-in-law, David & Lisa Owens, Seminole, OK; 1 daughter, Carolyn Gregory, Harrah, OK; 1 brother, M.C. Wigginton, Owasso, OK; 1 sister, Phyllis Maggard, Tulsa, OK; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 21, 2006, at the First Baptist Church, Harrah, OK, with Dr. Tony Nickel officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery, Harrah, OK.
