Alton Cook

Alton Cook was born on August 8, 1930, in Prague, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Friday, March 28, 2008, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 77. Alton, the son of Zola and Velder Susie Terrell Cook, was a resident of Shawnee. He married Linda Ivalene George on July 17, 1954. Alton worked as a driller for Young Exploration and was of the Baptist faith. His parents and one sister preceded Alton in death. Survivors include hiw wife, Linda Cook of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Kenny and Linda Cook of Pierce, AZ; daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy Norris of Shawnee, Debbie and Jerry Acebo of Shawnee, Shelly and Nati Hernandez of Douglas, Wyoming, Alnetta and Archie Roberson of Shawnee; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Arlene Cook of Shawnee; sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Solan Dodd of Shawnee; 19 Grandchildren; and 19 Great-grandchildren.
