Alton B. Sikes

Alton B. Sikes was born on November 8, 1926, in Prague, OK, and departed this life on Thursday, May 4, 2006, in Ardmore, OK, at the age of 79. Alton, the son of Harvey and Lola Watkins Sikes, was a resident of Oklahoma City. He served his country during the Korean conflict in the United States Air Force. Alton retired from Tinker Air Force Base and also worked as an auto mechanic. He married Linda McCurry on September 20, 1997, in Choctaw, OK. His parents, one brother, and three sisters preceded Alton in death. Survivors include his wife, Linda, of the home; sons, Alton Sikes, Jr., of Oklahoma City, Mike Sullivan of Chickasha; step-sons, Buddy Wickersham of Oklahoma City, Brent Wickersham of Choctaw; step-daughter, Dana Marsh of McLoud; sister, Lena Groover of Konowa, OK; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
