Alma Dean Duty

Alma Dean Duty was born in Stroud, Oklahoma on June 6, 1923 and departed this life in Cushing, Oklahoma on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at the age of 84 years. Dean was the daughter of William Edward and Mittie Ann Roe Baker. Dean was a resident of Stroud most of her life. She married Kenneth Edward Duty in Bristow, Oklahoma on September 6, 1947. He preceded her in death on October 25, 1994. She retired from the Stroud Police Department as dispatcher after 17 years; and was member of the Stroud Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, and 3 sisters. Survivors include, Three Nephews, Charles Baker of Stroud, OK, Ron Baker & wife Dee of Stroud, OK, Gene Baker & wife Laleta of Drumright, OK, Two Nieces, Aleta Smalley of Stroud, OK, Joneta House & husband Phil of Tulsa, OK, Other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held at the Stroud Cemetery at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, March 24, 2008 with Rev. Charles Baker officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brother Funeral Service in Stroud, Oklahoma.
