Allan Dale Helsley, age 75, of Harrah, OK, was born July 19, 1941, in Flint, Michigan. He was the son of Lester Harold & Geraldine Hall (Walden) Helsley. He left this life on Wednesday, April 5, 2017, in Harrah, OK. Allan graduated from Flint Southwestern High School in Flint, MI. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. Allan married Elaine Gail Bellinger on August 31, 1963, in Flint, MI. He retired from Tinker AFB where he was a contracting officer. Allan was also an ordained minister. He was the chairman of the Clio, Michigan 100 year centennial and a member of the First Baptist Church, Newalla, OK. He was a faithful volunteer for the Jaycees in Clio, Michigan. Allan enjoyed bowling, softball, golfing and loved oil painting, traveling and being a volunteer. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Elaine Helsley, Harrah, OK, 2 sons & daughters-in-law, Lester Allan & Alicia Helsley, Harrah, OK, William James & Kimberly Helsley, Oklahoma City, OK, onedaughter,DeLynne M. Teoli, Harrah, OK, uncle, Billy C. Helsley, Memphis, TN, 6 grandchildren Ciara, Morgan, Cheyanne, Harleigh, Aidan and Rori, 3 great-grandchildren, Landyn, Mckenzie & Kylee, and many other relatives and friends. The family request memorials be made to the Newalla First Baptist Church in remembrance of Dale. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 8, 2017, at the Newalla First Baptist Church, Newalla, OK. Services are under the direction of Asa Smith Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
