Aletha Pearl Byford

Aletha Pearl (Faires) Byford was born in Shamrock, Oklahoma on June 4, 1923. She passed on to Heaven in Cushing, Oklahoma on Friday, June 6, 2014, aged 91 years. Aletha was the daughter of Lawrence and Vera (Clark) Faires. She was a resident of Cushing, Oklahoma most of her life. She was a member of the Only Way Baptist Church, North of Stroud, and was a homemaker. Aletha married Virgil Lee Byford on September 8, 1943. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vera and Lawrence, her husband, Virgil, two sons, Ronald and Larry, one brother and one sister, Roland and Bessie. Survivors include, Four grandchildren: Derek Byford, Brad Byford, Angela Land, and Lance Byford, Along with seven wonderful great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at the Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Stroud on Monday, June 16, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Brad Hawkins officiating. Burial will be in the Stroud Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud. Oklahoma.
