Alene Genevieve Green was born on February 2, 1923, in Warwick, OK, and departed this life on Sunday, October 5, 2008, in Wellston, OK, at the age of 85 years. Alene, the daughter of William and Ethel Swinford Cherry, was a resident of Wellston, OK. She married Bill Becker in May of 1942, after his death, she then married Oscar Green on October 31, 1954. Alene was a homemaker and loved to sew, crochet and embroider. Alene was also a member of St. Paul''s Lutheran Church in Wellston and American Legion. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends and her special dog Bandit. Her parents, two husbands, two brothers, and one sister, preceded Alene in death. Survivors include, One son & daughter-in-law, William W. & Kathrine Green of Wellston, OK, One brother, George Woodrow Cherry of Panama City, FL, One sister-in-law, Pauline Cherry of Norman, OK, Four grandchildren, Gregory & Peggy Green of Wellston, OK, Kevin & Lori Walker of Harrah, OK, Grant & Dana Green of Wellston, OK, Lisa & Travis Matthews of Wellston, OK, 12 great-grandchildren, Jennifer & Zack Woods, Jesse Green, Brandon & Patsy Walker, Chase Walker, Evan Green, Taylor Green, Baylea Green, Hunter Green, Hayden Green, Kaleb Matthews, Allisan Matthews, Zackery Matthews. One Great-great grandchild – Bryce Walker. Other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 8, 2008, at St. Paul''s Lutheran Church in Wellston, Oklahoma, with Rev. Andrew Eckert officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
