Alberta Miller George

Alberta Miller George, long-time Chandler, Oklahoma, resident, was born on December 28, 1922, in Oilton, Oklahoma, and departed this life on March 24, 2006 in Chandler, Oklahoma, at the age of 83 years. Alberta was the daughter of Albert James and Nora Belle Lollar Nelson. She married Elmo Aubrey Miller on April 7, 1944 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and he passed away in 1992. She then married Leland O. George on November 30, 1994, who passed away in 1996. She was a Rosie the Riveter during World War II and a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chandler and a fifty year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Her parents, two husbands, three brothers, and ten sisters have preceded her in death. Survivors include one son, Elmo A Miller II of Nampa, ID; two step-sons, Paul George of Edmond, Ok. and David George of Texas. Two daughters, Mary Miller Davenport of Leicester, NC, Judi Boyd of Pickerington, Oh. Two step-daughters, Martha George of Texas, Mary Howard of Texas. One sister Mary Nelson of Chandler, Ok. Five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Other relatives and many friends.
