Albert Erwin 'Bert' Bailey was born on February 20, 1917, in Kim, Colorado, and departed this life on Thursday, September 21, 2006, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 89. Bert, the son of Arlow and Nancy Elizabeth Beck Bailey, was a long-time resident of Paden, Oklahoma. As a teenager, Bert served in the Civil Conservation Corps CCC Camp as a cook in Wyoming. His lifelong occupations were farmer, rancher, and oilfield pumper. He was of the Holiness faith. He married Mary Edna White on March 1, 1939. He was most proud of his family, and truly loved his horses and cows. Bert?s parents; one son, Charles Bailey; two brothers, Bill Bailey and Edward Bailey; and two sisters, Minnie Hopkins and Ruth Lee, preceded Bert in death. Survivors include, Wife, Mary Edna Bailey of the home; Sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmie and Norma Bailey of Paden, Eddie Frank Bailey of Paden, Vernon and Gloria Bailey of Tupelo, Leon and Judy Bailey of Paden; Daughters and son-in-law, Mary Ellen Ratica of San Jose, CA, Ruth and Paul Newport of Paden; over 25 grandchildren, over 30 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Jimmie Dale Bailey, Randall Lee Bailey, Kenneth Ratica, Curtis Ratica, David Bailey, Tony Bailey, Mike Bailey, Robert Bailey, Kyle Bailey, Keith Bailey, Joseph Bailey, Shawn Bailey, Ben Bailey, and Bryan Taylor.
