Adoniram Judson “AJ” Weiler, Jr., 86, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
AJ was born on September 27, 1937, to Adoniram Judson and Gladys Irene (Etheridge) Weiler Sr. He grew up and attended school in Yamhill, Oregon. AJ enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1954 at 17 years old. During his time in the USAF, AJ worked as a supply technician. He retired in 1974 after 20 years of service to our country. After his service, AJ went on to earn college credit and worked for Exxon Mobil for 10 years.
AJ married Ruth Gayle Paul in 1974. Ruth preceded him in death on May 13, 2023.
AJ was a member of the Chandler Masonic Lodge #58, Chandler, Ok, for many years. He also enjoyed making wine and left the legacy of wine making to others in the Chandler community. AJ was very crafty. He enjoyed woodworking and photography in his early years.
AJ was preceded in death by his parents, Adoniram and Gladys Weiler Sr.; his wife of nearly 50 years, Ruth Weiler; and a brother, Don Weiler.
He is survived by daughters, Kristina Townsend, and Pamela Wells; grandchildren, Matthew Townsend, Patrick Townsend, Colin Townsend, and Sophia Timme; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Townsend, Stori Townsend and Boston Townsend,
as well as a host of other family members and friends.
