Zelda Fern Jordan

Zelda Fern Jordan was born on July 24, 1933, in Paden, and departed this life on Tuesday, November 1, 2011, in Paden, Oklahoma, at the age of 78. Zelda, the daughter of Willis and Jennie Lee (Smith) Simmons, was a life-long resident of Paden and a graduate of Paden High School. She married William Cleo Jordan on July 30, 1950. He preceded her in death on October 31, 1991. Zelda retired from Okfuskee County where she served many years as the Deputy Court Clerk. She was also active in the Paden Senior Citizens Center. Her parents; son, Butch; and brothers, Travis 'Jack,' Gene, and Earl Simmons, also preceded Zelda in death Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Karen May and Tony Bearden of Paden; grandchildren, Megan Brasuell, David Jordan. Scott Brasuell, Raven Koehn; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and ther relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 10:00 AM, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Rev. Paul Heard officiating. Interment will follow at Kellerby Cemetery in Prague.
