William Ray Thompson

William Ray Thompson was born in Newby, Oklahoma on May 12, 2008 and departed this life in Stroud, Oklahoma on Thursday, August 21, 2008 at the age of 60 years. William is the son of emery and Alice Jones Thompson. William was a Stroud resident since 1991. He married Patricia 'Patty' Davis in Bristow, Oklahoma on December 30, 1966. He was a member of Higher Praise Outreach Church in Stroud, Oklahoma, and worked for the Turner Turnpike as a heavy equipment operator for 18 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, and one sister. Survivors include, Wife, Patty of the home, One Son & Daughter in Law, James and Kristy Thompson of Stroud, OK, One Daughter, Heather Thompson of Texas, Two Brothers, Pete Thompson of Bristow, OK, Dale Thompson of Bristow, OK, One Sister, Jean Ledgerwood of Davenport, OK, Four Grandchildren, Tyler J. Thompson of Stroud, OK, Hunter R. Thompson of Stroud, OK, Abigail N. Thompson of Stroud, OK, Taylor R. Thompson of Stroud, OK, Other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held at the Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel on Monday, August 25, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Jon Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in the Stroud Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, OK.
