Wanda Lea Stewart

Wanda Lea Stewart was born on September 16, 1936, in Prague, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Tuesday, February 24, 2009, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 72. Wanda, the daughter of Harry Bryan and Pearl Eliza Leonard Hayes, was a resident of Shawnee having lived in the Prague and Shawnee area all her life. She married E. H. Stewart on August 23, 1952 in Okmulgee. He preceded her in death on September 2, 2006. Wanda was a homemaker and a member of Temple Baptist Church. Her parents and one brother also preceded Wanda in death. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Barbara Stewart of Shawnee; daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and John Street of Pearland, TX, Kay and Donnie Young of Prague, Donna Payne of Oklahoma City; sisters, Loretta Richardson of Shawnee, Maymie Stansberry of Norman; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and caregiver, Carolyn Winrow of Shawnee. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 2:00 PM, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Rev. Mike Craig officiating. Interment will follow at the Prague Cemetery.
