Wanda Faye Foster

Wanda Faye Foster of Davenport, Oklahoma departed this life on Monday, February 25, 2020 at the age of 84 years. Wanda Faye Foster was born on April 29, 1935 in Kendrick, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of James and Virginia (Cornett) Johnson. She grew up in Kendrick, Oklahoma and graduated from Kendrick Public Schools. She married William “Bud” Melvin Foster on October 1, 1955 in Stillwell, Oklahoma. They made their home in Davenport, Oklahoma. She served her family as homemaker until 1969. She worked for Davenport Public Schools in the Cafeteria until she retired in 2016. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Davenport. After 47 years of marriage, her husband William “Bud” Foster preceded her death on October 31, 2002. Wanda continued to live in Davenport. Wanda was also preceded in death by her parents; twin sister Edith Helm; two brothers, Kenneth Johnson and James Johnson. Survivors include her four sons; Bill Foster of Chandler, David Foster and wife Regina of Bixby, Jeff Foster and wife Penny of Stroud, Mike Foster and wife Sue of Chandler; eleven grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and one sister, Sandra Haines of Ponca City, many nieces, nephews and other family members. She was loved and will be greatly missed. Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 pm on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the First Baptist Church of Davenport, Oklahoma officiated by Pastor Mike Mitchell.
