Vernell Rouse

Vernell Rouse was born in Milfay, Oklahoma on June 4, 1919 and departed this life in Stroud, Oklahoma on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at the age of 92 years. Vernell was the daughter of John and Lucinda (Goodwin) Smith. She was a resident of Stroud all of her life. Vernell was a member of the Stroud Christian Church, Stroud, Oklahoma and worked for the Stroud Hospital in the Dietary Department for 9 years. Vernell married Claud Rouse on January 24, 1942 in Kansas. He preceded her in death November 8, 1971. She was also preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and one sister. Survivor Include, Nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at the IOOF Cemetery in Tonkawa, OK on Friday, October 14, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Randell Miller officiating. Service is under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service, Stroud, OK.
