Vera Joyce Cheatwood

Vera Joyce Cheatwood was born on August 1, 1926, in Midway, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Sunday, October 26, 2008, at her home in Paden, Oklahoma, at the age of 82. Vera, the daughter of Luther Edward and Francis Dyer Pace, was a life-long resident of Paden. She married J.T. Cheatwood on December 27, 1947, in Okemah. He preceded her in death on March 18, 1989. Vera was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Paden. Her parents, one brother, one sister, and one grandson also preceded Vera in death. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Mary Cheatwood of Paden, Troy Cheatwood and fiance, Ami Little, of Moore, Steve and Betty Cheatwood of Prague; sister, Pat Davis of Paden, Ruth and Joe Renihan of Paden; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at 2:00 PM, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Bro. Paul Heard officiating. Interment will follow at Micawber Cemetery in Paden.
