Thelma Lou Melson

Thelma Lou Melson was born in Milfay, Oklahoma on August 30, 1939 and departed this life in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at the age of 71 years. Thelma was the daughter of Artie L. (Willaford)Shelton. Thelma was a resident of Davenport, Oklahoma most of her life. Thelma married Kenneth Clifford Melson in Bristow, Oklahoma on July 26, 1958. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Davenport, Oklahoma and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, 5 brothers and 3 Grandchildren. Survivors include, Husband, Kenneth of the home, Two Daughters, Pamela Gail Simmons & husband John of Davenport, Ok, Teresa Lynn Melson of Stillwater, OK, One Son & Daughter in Law, Clifford & Kathy Melson of Davenport Nine Grandchildren, Seven Great Grandchildren, Other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held at the Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Stroud on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Mike Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in the Davenport Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, Oklahoma.
