Steve William Johnson

Stevie William Johnson, age 61, of Jones, OK, was born on March 12, 1947 in Meeker, OK. He was the son of William Lloyd and Edith Edmonson Johnson. He departed this life on Wednesday, July 30, 2008, in Jones, OK. Steve graduated from Jones High School. He served in the U. S. Army during Vietnam. He retired from Tinker AFB after 12 years. Steve worked as a painter for 35 years. He was a member of the VFW Elks Lodge and a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. Steve enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and playing with his grandkids. Steve was preceded in death by his father, brother, LaDoye and one daughter, Angela Lynn. Survivors include his daughter & son-in-law, Stephanie & Josh Brown, McLoud, OK; mother, Edith Johnson, Jones, OK; 4 brothers & 2 sisters-in-law, Jerry Johnson, Eufaula, OK, Donald Johnson, Coalgate, OK, Eddie & Tammy Johnson, Kingston, OK, Wendell & Janie Johnson, Jones, OK; sister, Jane Johnson, Choctaw, OK; 3 grandchildren, Joshua Brown, Chloee Brown, Jacob Brown and many other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 2, 2008 at the New Salem Cemetery, Jacktown, OK, with Rev. John Randell officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith-Parks Funeral Service, Harrah, OK.
