Ruth Alyece Parsons

Ruth Alyece Parsons was born on December 29, 1927, in Hobart, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 89. Ruth, the daughter of John E. 'J.E.' and Leta (Pierce) Frazier, was a resident of Oklahoma City. She married Calvin 'C.V.' Parsons on May 27, 1950 in Seminole. Ruth enjoyed all kinds of board games, traveling, cooking, gardening and canning, but the most important thing to Ruth above all others was spending time with her family. Ruth's parents, husband, sister, Earleta Myers and an infant sister preceded her in death. Ruth is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, John and Christina Parsons of Seminole Mike Parsons of Konawa; daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and AJ Fields of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Shea and Justin Melton, Scott Whitefield, Alyson and Nicholas Armour, Cory Parsons, and Heather and Eric Blodgett; great grandchildren, Madison Melton, Mackenzie Melton, Olivia Melton, Brielle Whitefield, Kesslyn Whitefield, Easton Whitefield, Sabriel Armour, Matthew Blodgett; other family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 27, 2017 at 2:00 PM, at the Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Bro. Tim Emmons officiating. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery.
