Russell Keith Ross

Russell Keith Ross was born on September 12, 1981, in Shawnee, and departed this life on Thursday, June 30, 2016, in Stroud, Oklahoma, at the age of 34. Russell, the son of Larry and Annethra (Russell) Ross, was a resident of Meeker. He married Mandy Hulstine on June 7, 2014 in Meeker. Russell proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He was currently working for the Citizen Potawatomi Nation Police Department and served on the DA task force, a job he dearly loved. He enjoyed shooting, hunting, fishing and being a dad. His grandparents Bill and Carol Gilmore, and Roy Lucy preceded him in death. Survivors include wife Mandy (Hulstine) Ross of Meeker; sons Ryan Ross of Shawnee, Carson Bailey of Meeker, and Chance Bailey of Meeker; parents Larry and Annethra (Russell) Ross; brother Zack Ross of Stillwater; sister and brother-in-law Natalie and Ceth Lightfield of Davis, CA; grandmother Dovie Lucy of Shawnee and many other family and friends. The Ross family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Meeker. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 2:00 PM, at Citizen Potawatomi Nation Firelake Arena in Shawnee with Rev. Felecia Hensley and Pastor Danny Stone officiating. Interment will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established in Russell's name at Bancfirst.
