Ruby Gerberding was born on December 30, 1919, in Clyde, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Sunday August 9, 2015, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 95. Ruby, the daughter of Alphon and Emma (Schneider) Conrady, was a resident of Anthony, Kansas. Ruby married Fred Gerberding on July 31, 1939 in Caldwell, Kansas. Ruby was a proud mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She was a home maker, a great gardener and cook. And Ruby loved to fish. Ruby was a CNA, with this certification she was awarded the opportunity to work with people in need. She was very protective of those in her care, and took a great pride in becoming “family” with them. Ruby's husband, parents, one sister, Ennis Mattingly and one granddaugher, Gina Terry preceded her in death. Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Rod and Delma Gerberding of Clearwater, Kansas; daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Chris Eulberg of Jacktown, Oklahoma; one sister, Valda McClaflin of Eufaula, Oklahoma; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; many other family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 14, 2015 at 10:00 A.M., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of the St Joan of Arc Parrish in Anthony, Kansas with Father Michael Peltzer officiating. Interment will follow at Forrest Park Cemetery in Anthony. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague, Oklahoma and Prairie Rose Funeral Home in Anthony, Kansas.
