Robertha Green, was a radiant soul whose light shined brightly, and she graced this world on July 8, 1953. With heavy hearts, we announce her peaceful departure on September 8, 2024 at the age of 71, leaving behind a profound legacy and cherished memories. Robertha's life was filled with love, laughter, and unwavering faith in God. As a devoted daughter, she brought immeasurable joy to her parents, Sebron Green Sr. and Effie Mae (Ramsey) Green. She was the youngest of eight siblings. Graduating high school in 1972; Robertha went on to Langston University, where she earned her Bachelors of Science Degree in High School Physical Education in May of 1977. She later received a job as a high school girls coach at Boley Public High School were she enjoyed teaching and coaching the youth. Robertha left education to follow her passion of helping others in the medical field as a medical technician. Robertha worked from dawn to dusk helping others manage their medication needs. Growing into a remarkable woman, Robertha Green embraced her role as sister, aunt and mother of two cherished daughters, Sharonda Renika Green and LaTosha Danielle Green.
Robertha Green was a God fearing woman who was truly giving. Her kindness and empathy for others allowed her to open her home to help countless people. She enjoyed having family gatherings with her nieces and nephews. She loved to care for others and caring for other became her biggest passion in life. She spent her life putting the needs of others above her own because of optimism that she had regarding life.
Robertha enjoyed the day to day life of being on a farm and spoiling her beloved grandchildren. She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be missed by many. Robertha was preceded in death by her parents, Sebron Green, Sr., and Effie Mae Green (Ramsey); three brothers, Sebron Green, Jr., Larry Green and James Weldon Green and four sisters, Norma Lee Ruffin, Pearlie Mae Grubbs, Leatha Mae Green and Maragaret Ree Haddox. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving daughters, Sharonda Renika Green and Latosha Danielle Green; three grandchildren, Tyshae Alexis Green, Reginald V. Woods, III and Logan Patrick- Alexander Green; one great-granddaughter, Ilynn Rose Jackson and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends
