Robert Doyle Johnson

Robert Doyle Johnson was born on August 13, 1926, in Prague, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Wednesday, December 1, 2010, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 84. Robert, the son of Robert James and Eldora Jane (Wallis) Johnson, was a life-long resident of Prague. He graduated from Prague High School with the class of 1944. He married Billie Nadine Stagner on April 18, 1948 in Ulysses, Kansas. Robert retired as a manager from Dresser Industries following 37 years of service. He was a member of the Prague Masonic Lodge 209, the McAlester Consistory, Prague Chapter 127 of the Order of the Eastern Star, the First Christian Church, and his bowling league. His parents; three sisters, Doris Duncan, Wilma Wilson, and Barbara Middleton; one brother, Larry Johnson; and great-granddaughter, Logan Bradley, preceded Robert in death. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Billie Johnson of the home; sons and daughter-in-law, Doyle Johnson of Prague, Bill and Sally Johnson of Ardmore; daughter and son-in-law, Willia and Randy Key of Oklahoma City; 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Hazel McDaniel of Seminole; sister-in-law, Tina Johnson of Prague. The Johnson family will receive friends at Parks Brothers Funeral Home on Friday, December 3, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Memorials may be made to: Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation 825 N.E. 13th Street Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73104 Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 2:00 PM, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Pastor Susan Payne officiating. Interment will follow at the Prague Cemetery in Prague. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
