Robert Allen Hanan

Robert “Bob” Allen Hanan died November 28, 2019, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Bob was 80 years old. He was a resident of Stroud, Oklahoma. Bob was born October 22, 1939 in Arnett, Oklahoma, to Ralph and Elsie (Pierce) Hanan. Bob married Wanda Sue (Burns) Hanan on June 1, 1958 and were married until her passing in November of 2012. He worked and retired from the City of Stroud as the water superintendent. He was a longtime member of the Stroud Church of Christ. Bob and Sue had three children—Tammie, Mac, and Teresa. Bob enjoyed spending time with family. He loved to tell lots of great stories, bird hunt, and fish. Growing up he enjoyed rodeoing and was a bull rider for many years. Bob is survived by his children, Tammie Thompson and her husband Richard, Mac Hanan and his wife Holly; his sister, Donna McNeely and her husband Terry; his grandkids, Annette and Ted LeGrande, Rachel and Matt Shields, Dakota and Alex Hamilton, Zachary Thompson, Allyson and Dustin Shepherd, and McKenna Hanan; his great grandchildren, Alexiss LeGrande, Connor Schafer, Hunter Thompson, Abigayle LeGrande, Ronnie Shields, Camdyn Shepherd, and Hudson Hanan; his sister-in-law, Emily Burns; his dear friend, Lou Embry and many, many more family members and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Wanda Sue; his daughter, Teresa Sue Hanan; his sister, Helen Sherill; and his brother, Eldon Hanan. Bob’s Funeral Service will be Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Stroud Church of Christ. He will be buried at the Stroud Cemetery. The service is under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Stroud.
