Randy Dean Gilbert of Midwest City, passed away on August 6, 2019 at the age of 65. Randy was born in Bourne, Massachusetts on April 25th, 1954. He was the son of Floyd and Emma Gilbert. Randy was a loving father, grandfather, son and brother and will be missed by many. Randy’s early life was spent as a traveling Air Force “Brat”. He traveled extensively from Massachusetts to California, then to Alconbury, England and to Las Vegas, Nevada. As an adult, he settled in Texas and then finally, Midwest City, Oklahoma. As a young man, Randy found himself working as journeyman in the communication industry. He then went to work in maintenance at Tinker Air Force Base and finally to Joe Cooper BMW as a driver. Randy was also a skilled wood worker and enjoyed spending his time that way. Randy was a musician and enjoyed playing the guitar and always enjoyed listening to guitar music. Randy also enjoyed cave exploring with his friends. Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Emma and Floyd Gilbert. Randy is survived by his four children, Jeremy Gilbert, Samuel Gilbert, Lindsi Gilbert and Casi Gilbert Crockett; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is also survived by three sisters, Linda Hamrick, Chyrole Lashbrook and Candice Carter. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:30 AM on Friday, August 16, 2019. The service will be held at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague, Oklahoma.
