Ramon "Ray" O. Terrell

Ray was born on November 6, 1935 in Memphis, Tennessee and departed this life in Stroud, Oklahoma on Saturday, November 22, 2008, at the age of 73 years. Ray was the son of James and Trumon Moss Terrell. He was a resident of Davenport, Oklahoma. Ray married Zelma Canada Russell and was a member of the Catholic faith. Ray served in the U. S. Navy for 22 years. He served in the Korean and Vietnam War in the Special Forces. He was a member of the Chandler Masonic Lodge, Stroud American Legion and VFW. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister, Trumon Hemmerle. Survivors include his wife, Zelma, of the home; one son & daughter-in-law, Marty & Jeanette Russell of Oklahoma City, OK; one daughter & son-in-law, Tracy & Mark English of Santa Maria, CA; one brother, Jimmy Terrell of Pahrump, NV; one sister, Janice Fraunfelder of Maryland; four grandchildren, Grayson & Gavin Russell, of Oklahoma City, OK, Taylor English of Oklahoma City, OK, Kelsi English of Santa Maria, CA, other relatives and friends. Memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Davenport, Oklahoma on Friday, November, 28, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Mike Mitchell officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, Oklahoma.
