Phil Everal Bly

June 24, 1951 — February 4, 2024

Phil Everal Bly was born on June 24, 1951 in Guthrie, Oklahoma and peacefully departed this world on February 4, 2024. Phil’s life brought him two beautiful daughters, Laurie Bly and Erin Mathes, as well as a wonderful stepson Jason Martin.

Together with his wife Cindy, they enjoyed 32 years of watching their family grow. Family was the most important thing to Phil and he was blessed with a big one. Three children, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren loved each minute that was spent with Papa Phil, not to mention the tall tales and pearls of wisdom along the way.

Phil was proceeded in death by his parents, Olen Bly and Betty Mizell, as well as a sister Cindi Rutter.

In addition to his wife, Cindy, survivors include his daughter Laurie Bly of Stroud, Erin Mathes and her husband David of Davenport, and Jason Martin and his wife Sara of Chandler. Grandchildren include Kathrine Reamy and her husband Rocky of Davenport, Cody Bales of Davenport, Michael Miller and his wife Alyssa of Stroud, Matthew Miller and his wife Jennifer of Davenport, Nick Mathes of Davenport, as well as David, Andy and Crosby Martin of Chandler. Great-grandchildren include Adley Reamy, Magnolia and Maverick Miller, and Colton Miller.

Phil is also survived by a sister, Betina Richardson of Glenpool, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A lifetime of oilfield work and being a cattleman filled most of Phil’s days leading up to his retirement three years ago. Since then, Phil enjoyed spending most of his time enjoying family and getting to be part of all of the activities that go along with it. Phil was a good man and undoubtedly will be missed by many.
