Orvil Arthur Gilbert Harris

Orvil Arthur Gilbert Harris died at his home in Prague on Sunday, January 22, 2006, with his wife and family at his bedside. Orvil was born on August 17, 1923, in Hulbert, OK, to Arthur Gilbert and Mary Ann Taylor Harris. He was raised by Mr. and Mrs. T. R. Seneker of Centerview after the death of his parents. Orvil married Velma States on March 8, 1943. Together, they had four children. His youngest daughter, Bonnie, preceded Orvil in death. Also preceding him in death were his brother, five sisters, and one step-daughter. Orvil was dearly loved by his family and will be missed. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Velma Harris of the home; daughters and sons in law, Rosmary and Roland Sutterfield of Prague and Judy and John Click of Oklahoma City; son and daughter-in-law,Gilbert and Mary Harris of Prague; grandchildren, Angie Martin of Prague, Jacob Click of Houston, Jennifer Cole of Oklahoma City, Cindy Rogers of Prague, Jeff Sutterfield of Ely, NV; 9 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
