Opal Margurite Warden was born on December 9, 1915, in Water Valley, Arkansas, and departed this life on Saturday, June 13, 2009, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 93. Opal, the daughter of James Monroe and Jennie Frances (Previtt) Gilbert, was a resident of Prague. She married Rollins Callaway Warden on August 28, 1932. He preceded her in death on December 22, 1980. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ in Prague. Her parents, two daughters, three brothers, and a son-in-law also preceded Opal in death. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Patti Warden of Seattle, Washington; sister, Jean Leonard of Chandler; brothers and sisters-in-law, Burnie and Charlotte Gilbert of Greensburg, Indiana, Floyd and Emma Gilbert of Midwest City, Oklahoma, James and Bernice Gilbert of Lexington, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Sherry and Eugene Lakins of Prague, Debbie and James Craft of Oklahoma City, Regina and Mike Kern of Moore, Jan Blankenship and Jerry Grounds of Prague, Zack Mitchell of Prague, Terry Mitchell of Prague; and son-in-law, Merle Moses of Prague. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2009 at 10:00 AM, at the Church of Christ in Prague with Lonnie Hutton officiating. Interment will follow at Prague Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
