Milton C. Craig, long-time Chandler, Oklahoma, resident was born December 29, 1925, in Okarche, Oklahoma. He departed this life on November 18, 2019, at his home in Chandler at the age of 93 years. Milton was the son of Milton and Lola (Bradley) Craig. He was raised and attended school in Hydro, Oklahoma. His family moved to California and Milton graduated from San Bernardino High School in 1943. Milton served in the United States Navy during WWII. Upon his discharge at the end of the war Milton enrolled at the University of Oklahoma where he was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He graduated from the OU Law School in 1952. Milton moved to Chandler in 1954 and started his law practice with the help of Bill Vassar and Dale Sutton. Milton married Wanda Cross on December 30, 1970, at the First United Methodist Church. Over the years Milton has served and held many positions including, District Judge for Judicial District 23, State Representative, District Attorney, Assistant County Attorney, Republican County Chairman, Oklahoma Republican Party Executive Board Member, Lions Club Member, Oklahoma Water Resources Board Chairman, Red River and Arkansas River Compact Authority, Chandler Chamber of Commerce, Northcentral Administrative Judicial District, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, little league coach, mentor, encourager and rancher. His parents, and one brother, Harold preceded Milton in death. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Wanda of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Toni and Clifford Garrison of Kellyville, Oklahoma; two sons and daughters -in-law, Tom and Jeannie Cross of Oklahoma City, Kevin and Donnell Cross of Chandler; one sister, Lois Howard of Pinedale, Wyoming; one brother, Gary Craig of Houston, Texas; six grandchildren, Amber Ahmed and spouse Syed, Erin Managbanag and spouse Art, Michelle Furtado and spouse Nathan, Devin Cross and spouse April, Douglas Cross, Brandon “Boo-Boo” Cross and spouse Amanda; ten great-grandchildren, Alya, Bassil, Jaycee, Landree, Hadley, Keegan, Peyton, Adelaide, Jude, and Miles; other relatives and many friends. In lieu of flowers please make expressions of sympathy to the Chandler Volunteer Fire Department. A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 23, 2019, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Chandler with a reception following immediately after at the Chandler First Christian Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
