Michele Woody

Michele Woody was born on January 8, 1967, at Elgin Air Force Base in Florida, and went to be with her Lord on Monday, August 10, 2009, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 42. Michele, the daughter of Jerry Wayne and Carolyn Maxine (Bowen) Woody, was a resident of Meeker. She graduated from Liberty Academy in Shawnee. In 1985, she attended Charles School of Cosmetology and worked as a beautician for several years. In recent years, she attended Rose State College where she attained an Associate’s Degree in the medical field. Michele was a homemaker and a devoted mother. She loved her children and family very much. Michele was a creative person who enjoyed arts and crafts, cooking, and reading. One of her greatest gifts was her witty personality and ability to make people laugh. Michele was a long-time member of Morning Star Baptist Church. Her grandparents, Jesse and Fannie Bowen and Omer and Eunice Woody, preceded Michele in death. Survivors include son, Matthew Blythe of Meeker; daughters, Marrissa Blythe of Meeker, Maillee Blythe of Meeker; parents, Jerry and Carolyn Woody of Meeker; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tony and Lesa Woody of Meeker, Sr. MSgt. Jamie and Mary Woody of Crestview, FL, Tim Woody of Meeker; sister and brother-in-law, Drs. Kim and Scott Felten of Tulsa; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Viewing and visitation will be at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Meeker beginning at 11:00 AM on Wednesday until 12:00 PM on Friday. Michele’s family requests that memorials be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105 Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 14, 2009 at 2:00, at Morning Star Baptist Church in Meeker with Bro. Bill Leveridge officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Meeker. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
