Michael Coats

Michael Coats was born on October 31, 1950, in Phoenix, Arizona, and departed this life on Thursday, June 29, 2017, in Sparks, Oklahoma, at the age of 66. Michael, the son of Ray and Bonnie (Huffman) Coats, was a resident of Sparks. He married Jackie Miller, in Bakersfield, California. Michael proudly served in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. Michael and Jackie moved from California to Oklahoma in the mid 1980s and Michael took a job with Prague Schools, remaining there until his retirement. Michael’ parents and two of his sisters, Dolores and Pauline preceded him in death. Michael is survived by his wife, Jackie Coats, of the home; daughters, Paula Doty of Seminole, Sherlyn Coats of Sparks; a son, Keith Coats of Sparks; five grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; three brothers,Kenny Coats, Paul Coats, Ray Coats; one sister, Deanna Coats. No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
