Life Story Mavis Louise Martin Mavis Louise Martin was born on March 28, 1935, in Davenport, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Saturday, October 28, 2017, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 82. Mavis, the daughter of Arthur Raymond Thompson and Lillie May (Channel) Thompson, was a resident of Paden, Oklahoma. Mavis married Marcus Leo Martin, Sr. on November 18, 1956 in Hillsboro, Oregon. She loved going to church. Mavis’ hobbies included her grandchildren, flowers and garage sales. Mavis was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Leon, Roy, and Larry Thompson and sisters, Jennie and Essie. Mavis is survived by her husband Marcus Martin, of the home; son, Leo Martin and wife Liz; daughter Edna Young; grandchildren, Micaela Irving, Dalton Shook, Madison Martin, Trey Young, Alex Irving; brothers, Tom Thompson and wife, Marge, Jack Thompson and wife, Peg, and many other family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Prague Assembly of God Church, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Kevin Wehrli officiating. Interment will follow at Paden Cemetery.
