Matthew Wayne Bussey

Matthew Wayne Bussey was born on Thursday, February 13, 1992, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Friday, January 13, 2012, in Moore, Oklahoma, at the age of 19. Matthew, the son of Jeff Bussey and Leasa Page Wade, was a resident of Moore at the time of his death. He formerly lived in Meeker where he graduated from Meeker High School with the class of 2010. Matthew was a member of Sharon Baptist Church and worked as a welder. It was at Sharon Baptist Church that Matthew got saved and was baptized there on April 30, 2001. Matthew always had the ability to brighten the room, whether it was with a funny comment or with that wonderful smile. Matthew had more friends than one can number and they all knew that he would be there for then when they needed him. Matthew loved football and proudly wore his number 63 as a member of the Meeker High School football team. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, and grandfather, Glynn Johnson. Survivors include his father, Jeff Bussey of Prague; mother, Leasa Page Wade; brothers, David Bussey of Moore and Caleb Bussey of Maud; sisters, Carley Bussey of Maud and Annie Bussey of Maud; grandparents, Winford and Shirley Bussey of Welty, Loretta Johnson of Shawnee, and Richard Wade of LaPorte, TX; many aunts, uncles, and cousins and many friends. The Bussey family will receive friends at Parks Brothers Funeral Home on Thursday evening, January 19, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 20, 2012 at 2:00 PM, at the Assembly of God Church in Meeker with Rev. Clint Dawkins officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Meeker.
