Mary Catherine Laney, age 73, of Tecumseh, OK, was born November 8, 1939, in Hamilton, Ohio She was the daughter of Alfred & Sarah (Conrad) Sams. She left this life on Monday, November 26, 2012, in Norman, OK. Mary was a waitress and loved to play bingo. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, David & Barney Riley, three sisters, Patricia Swain, Constance Sams, Victoria Sams and one brother, Eugene Sams. Survivors include her husband, Jerry Laney, Tecumseh, OK; son & daughter-in-law, Wallace & Michelle Greene, McLoud, OK; 2 daughters & sons-in-law, Beverly & Gary Helms, Guthrie, OK, Cheryl & Jamie Hanely, Edmond, OK; 2 brothers, Gary Sams, Hamilton, OH, Terry Sams, Hamilton, OH; 2 sisters, Sue Hensley, Hamilton, OH, Freda Alexander, Oklahoma City, OK; 9 grandchildren, Gary, Mary Sherry, Tessa, Trent, Brandi, Brittany, Samantha 17 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 29, 2012, at the New Life Baptist Church, Newalla, OK, with Rev. Mark Patterson officiating. Interment will follow at Dale Cemetery, Dale, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
