Marilyn Jean Ownby

Marilyn Jean Ownby, 78, of Prague, Oklahoma passed away on September 24, 2019. Marilyn Jean was born on July 1, 1941 in Prague to Mary Doris and Frederick Edward Vobornik. She graduated from Blackwell High School in 1959 and then with a bachelor’s degree in Early Elementary Education from Oklahoma State University. Marilyn enjoyed playing cards, especially Bridge, Bolivia and Canasta. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Prague. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Gregory Steve Ownby; and a brother, Frederick Edward Jr. She is survived by a son, Mitch Ownby and his wife, Sandra; 5 grandchildren: Bracken, Taylor, Madison, Kennedy and McKinley; 3 great-grandchildren: Lily, Liam and Alison. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to The Muscular Dystrophy Association.
