Lois P. Smallwood

Lois Pauline Smallwood was born on March 9, 1918, in Latimer County, OK, and departed this life on Tuesday, March 1, 2011, in Oklahoma City, OK, at the age of 92 years. Lois, the daughter of Calvin and Eunice (Miller) Colwell, was a long-time resident of Chandler. She recently moved to Oklahoma City to be closer to her family. Lois married Ernest Smallwood on January 10, 1942, in Poteau, OK. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Her parents, husband, three brothers and three sisters preceded Lois in death. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Sue Smallwood of Oklahoma City, OK, one daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Gilan Cockrell of Emporia, KS, one sister, Pat Osborn of Las Vegas, NV, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March, 5, 2011, at Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Chandler, with Rev. Rick Blackwell officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, OK.
