Lawrence Allen Simmons

Lawrence Allen Simmons was born on August 1, 1928, in Paden, and departed this life on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 89. Lawrence, the son of Lawrence Sidney and Eula Leola (Massey) Simmons, was a resident of Shawnee. He enjoyed his career as a teacher. His hobbies were gardening, especially roses, traveling the U.S. with his family, fishing and quail hunting in his early years. Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents and his sister and brother-in-law, Ruby and Charles Parker. Survivors include his nephew, Jerry Parker of Shawnee and numerous other family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 2:00 PM, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Bro. Tim Emmons officiating. Interment will follow at Prague Cemetery.
