Kitty Sue Welch

Kitty Sue Welch was born on July 24, 1928, in Four Corners, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Thursday, March 12, 2015, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 86. Kitty, the daughter of Emit and Beaulah (Vineyard) Carter, was a resident of Oklahoma City. She graduated from Tecumseh High School and attended East Central University. She married Richard C. Welch on December 27, 1946, and they remained married until his death in 2013. She worked as a bookkeeper. Kitty’s husband, son, Richard Wayne Welch, two brothers, Irvin Lee Carter and Randall Wayne Carter, and sister, Frankie Dean Gilley preceded her in death. Kitty is survived by her daughter, Richina Cooper of Tulsa; grandchildren, Kit and Jason Garrett of Oklahoma City, Michelle Bebout of San Diego, CA, and Jess Bebout of Memphis, TN; great grandchildren, Rickey and Adison Garrett; sister,Nancy Carlean Johnson of Tyler, TX; sister-in-law,Phoebe Ann and Timm Bax of Tucson, AZ; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015, at 10:00 AM at Schoolton Cemtery in Schoolton with Elder Bill Crane officiating.
